While out shopping with my son yesterday I met one incredible woman while standing in line, her name is Denise....I was first drawn to this unusual tattoo that she had on her arm, an EKG line. I had to ask her about it and her story gave me chills, chills in a good way.

At the beginning of the tattoo there is a date with a flat line and then it continues to show activity and ends with a heart. The date is when Denise died and the heart at the end is to show how incredible it is to be alive. The tattoo is of her actual EKG, she got the copy from her doctor and then had the tattoo made so she will have a permanent reminder to NEVER take one day for granted and how precious life truly is. Denise inspired me in so many ways, her strength, love, compassion and determination to make her life count for something since she was given this second chance.  She reminded me that no matter how difficult our personal road becomes that the rewards of a smile or even a sunny day is worth more than just giving up.   I think of Denise and her smile often
